Job Summary:

Finatal is seeking a highly experienced Mergers and Acquisitions Director to lead our strategic growth efforts in the renewable energy sector. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our M&A strategy, identifying and evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities, and driving the integration of new businesses into our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • M&A Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive M&A strategy aligned with Finatal's growth objectives, including identifying and evaluating strategic acquisition opportunities, conducting commercial due diligence, and designing deal structures that align with our strategic goals.
  • Deal Execution: Lead negotiations and manage all vendor interactions to close deals successfully, ensuring a seamless integration into Finatal.
  • Integration Management: Oversee the integration of acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition of operations, and driving value creation through M&A activities.
  • Reporting and Communication: Deliver regular reports on M&A activities to the Board and executive team, providing strategic guidance on integrations and value creation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing M&A team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of M&A activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in M&A within the energy or renewable energy sectors, with a proven track record in managing the full deal cycle, particularly in buy-and-build strategies.
  • Skills: Strong buy-side or in-house M&A experience, ideally with private equity exposure, expertise in ensuring cultural alignment during acquisitions, and ability to independently execute M&A strategies aligned with wider growth goals.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
