By focusing on data-driven strategies, the Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will play a critical role in driving business performance and achieving higher levels of operational excellence and profitability.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has worked in a fast-paced business environment and wants to gain valuable commercial experience and exposure.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification commercial experience and a proven track record of delivering insightful analysis and driving business growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Responsible for the production of budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis, including the continuous improvement of the existing budget and reporting system and models.
- Manage cash flow and capital forecasting.
- Enhance reporting quality, insights, and automation.
- Partner with management to deliver insightful analysis to the wider business.
- Review daily dashboard and weekly management reports.
- Preparation of monthly board packs.
- Support the implementation of a new financial planning system, ensuring successful delivery and use to improve the quality, rigour, and speed of our analysis.
**Requirements:**
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification commercial experience.
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced business environment would be advantageous.
- Happy to work in an unstructured environment which is constantly changing with the view at implementing robust procedures and policies.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build financial models.
- Great communication skills and the ability to speak finance to non-finance personnel.
- Exceptional commercial awareness.
- Strong Business partnering skills.
