Job Details

At Teaching Vacancies, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with varying and sometimes complex needs, assisting with their day-to-day classroom and personal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with personal hygiene and self-care programs
  • Have a knowledge of all roles and responsibilities related to the care and support of children
  • Prepare learning materials and resources, adapting the environment when necessary
  • Support play and leisure activities
  • Support children with eating and drinking at break times and lunch times

Essential Skills and Qualities:
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting demands
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children and providing equality of opportunity
