We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Animal Licensing Officer to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking inspections of premises and operations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and local authority policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections of premises and operations to identify any non-compliance with statutory requirements and local authority policies.
- Respond to service requests and complaints from the public and provide advice and assistance on regulatory matters.
- Enforce regulatory notices and take enforcement action as necessary to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Undertake specialist duties with minimal supervision and promote high standards of health and safety and food hygiene awareness in businesses and industry.
- Make decisions on a day-to-day basis in respect of routine duties and local authority policies, ensuring that all records and databases associated with the role are maintained and kept up to date.
- Diploma or degree in Environmental Health (or equivalent).
- Registration with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board (EHORB) or eligibility for working towards Environmental Health Officers registration Board (EHORB).
- Demonstrable experience as an Environmental Health Practitioner/Officer.
- A competitive rate of pay of £40.00 per hour.
- The opportunity to work on a 2-month contract with the possibility of extension.
- A chance to work closely with a local authority in Ashfield.
