About the Firm:
Our client is a prominent, full-service law firm located in South-East London, featuring modern facilities and picturesque views.
They are seeking a junior real estate legal advisor with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to enhance their thriving property team and engage with longstanding clients.
The successful candidate will inherit a busy caseload from day one and will be welcomed into a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Head of the Property Department, you will manage a comprehensive caseload and assist the team in addressing the growing workload driven by various marketing and networking efforts. You will receive support from a skilled legal secretary and a professional support lawyer.
As part of a team of four solicitors, you will oversee a wide range of commercial property matters, including:
- Property acquisitions and disposals (both freehold and leasehold)
- Conditional sales and purchases
- Lease agreements
- Renewals under the 1954 Act
- Ancillary deeds (such as variations, surrenders, rent deposits, and licenses for alterations)
- Refinancing transactions (representing both lenders and borrowers)
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years PQE in commercial property law, with experience managing your own caseload.
- A strong understanding of diverse client needs based on your extensive experience.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively within a larger team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in modern case management systems, as well as MS Word and Outlook.
- Experience in achieving billing targets in a fee-earning capacity.
- Background in business development and a proactive approach to expanding your client base as part of the firm's marketing strategy.
- Ambitious and driven, with a desire to exceed targets, complemented by attractive incentive bonuses for outstanding performance.
