Senior Town Planner Job Description

Job Title: Senior Town Planner

Location: Kent

Salary: £38 - £42k

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-time may be considered)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to oversee and manage a variety of urban and regional planning projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will conduct thorough research and analysis on land use, zoning, transportation, and environmental factors to inform planning decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of urban and regional planning projects
  • Conduct research and analysis on land use, zoning, transportation, and environmental factors
  • Develop and implement planning strategies and policies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related field
  • Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or eligibility for membership
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the UK
  • Strong understanding of UK planning laws and regulations
