Job Summary:
Hunter Selection is seeking a skilled Facilities and Utilities Engineer to join our client's engineering department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all facilities, utilities, and site services that support manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules with contract suppliers for all facilities and utilities.
- Conduct daily checks on facilities, lighting, boilers, BMS, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.
- Manage contract suppliers for boilers, steam systems, chillers, HV systems, compressors, and HVAC.
- Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs as needed.
- General site electrics, including replacing sockets, lighting, and HVAC systems.
- Develop and manage work permits for all contractors on site.
- Lead small-scale projects from group level, investing in upgrades across utilities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a facilities/site services/facilities engineer.
- Ability to think on your feet, identify issues, and develop solutions in an efficient and timely manner.
- Electrical bias with relevant qualifications.
- Experience with HVAC, chillers, boilers, steam systems, and treatment plant.
- Highly organized, managing contractors and maintenance suppliers into facilities department.
- Understanding of compliance regulations, including pressure systems and working at height.
- Able to issue work permits to contractors and experience with ordering spares and parts.
- Previous experience with managing small-scale projects is beneficial.
