Our sequencing platform uniquely provides real-time analysis, allowing for rapid insights in scalable formats, capable of analyzing native DNA or RNA with fragment lengths ranging from short to ultra-long.

Position Overview
The Customer Analysis Workflows group is tasked with delivering bioinformatic analyses to end users through various platforms, including software libraries and automated analyses.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of newly identified workflows and collaborate to determine optimal presentation methods.
- Work closely with R&D teams to identify valuable analysis workflows for customers.
- Adapt standard bioinformatics tools for long-read nanopore sequencing.
- Identify areas for tool enhancement and collaborate with Algorithm Research teams to explore solutions.
- Define and advocate for best practices in open-source analysis software.
- Stay informed about advancements in long-read data analysis and user requirements.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess at least a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) with significant programming experience in a high-level language. A PhD or relevant experience in DNA/RNA sequencing analysis is preferred.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in software development on Debian-based Linux systems.
- Proficiency in bioinformatics workflows and familiarity with workflow management software, particularly Nextflow.
- Practical experience with sequencing data and common software tools (e.g., samtools, bcftools).
- Strong programming skills in Python, including development, testing, and packaging.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practices, along with a willingness to learn and adapt.
