Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will engage in a comprehensive pharmacy operational service, ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy across various departments within The London Clinic. This position involves rotation through different pharmacy services, enhancing the breadth of experience and expertise.

The technician will be accountable for the effective delivery of pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and operational guidelines.

  • Employment Type: Full-time, permanent role with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
  • Location: Central London.
  • Compensation: Competitive salary aligned with Band 5 NHS standards.

Key Duties

  • Conduct Medicine Management tasks within designated wards, including the assessment of Patients' Own Drugs, drug history documentation for new admissions, and facilitating discharge processes with appropriate counseling.
  • Support ward pharmacists in delivering thorough patient counseling, particularly concerning discharge medications.
  • Assist in advanced medicine optimization and clinical prioritization, contingent upon obtaining the necessary qualifications.
  • Contribute to a reliable and precise dispensing service for all pharmacy users, including the management of controlled substances and oral chemotherapy.
  • Guide and oversee the workflow of dispensary personnel, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and maintenance of quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Medicines Management.
  • Background in ward pharmacy services.
