About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Solutions Team at Oxa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of autonomy solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customers to define requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Conduct technical gap analysis and generate new feature requests as needed.
  • Develop and maintain safety cases, including route analysis, risk assessments, and operational procedures.
  • Lead vehicle acceptance testing, shakedown, commissioning, calibration, deployment, and verification of compute, software, sensing, and networking.
  • Build, upgrade, and maintain AV maps.
  • Perform in-field AV monitoring, debugging, tuning, and post-mortem analysis.
  • Collaborate with the launch team to develop plans for ongoing customer support.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, and be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of autonomy solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation detailing software architecture, APIs, and decision flows.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases and requirements, and design and implement solutions to address these.
  • Ensure efficient and timely solution delivery through participation in regular sprint and alignment meetings, and identification of risks, technical gaps, scope creep, or performance-related issues that may impede commercial deployment.
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with the wider Oxa team, developing a broad understanding of autonomy components and tools, and deploying, debugging, and tuning solutions in the field.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or MASc degree or equivalent experience in computer science or robotics.
  • Demonstrated experience in development and delivery of robotics systems, and participation in product development in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Working at the interface between software and hardware: deploying, configuring, debugging, and evaluating.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Able to translate customer concepts and requirements to a technical solution or service.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in launching a robotics/autonomous product.
  • Ability to translate customer concepts and requirements to a technical solution or service.
  • Experience using project management tools to facilitate on-time delivery.
  • Knowledge of, and/or experience working with:
    • Robotics: localization, mapping, planning, perception, ML/semantic understanding, control, sensing modalities, commissioning & calibration.
    • Development: C++/Python, Linux, shell scripting, networking, version control.
    • Engineering: systems integration, POC prototyping, V&V, platform hardware and configuration, on-the-field troubleshooting.
