Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Peterborough

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £26,000, depending on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team at Marshall Motor Group. As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient running of the finance department, ensuring that the company accounting policies and procedures are correctly operated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the business' financial deadlines and targets by accurate and timely completion of administration processes
  • Responsible for all aspects of purchase ledger
  • Planning and managing time carefully to ensure all tasks are achieved
  • Ensuring that action is taken to ensure compliance with Group benchmarks
  • Striving to achieve a consistently high standard of ledger maintenance in order to ensure that the accurate information is readily available for decision-making
  • Raising and processing payments for suppliers
  • Registering and processing invoices

Requirements:

  • Solid IT skills would be beneficial for this role, particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, being able not only listen, but to also be able to relay information clearly
  • You will enjoy working within a high transactional volume environment
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with your suppliers and colleagues, and be able to collaborate on projects/specific workstreams as appropriate
  • As a self-starter, you will be able to manage your time and workload effectively to support the wider team
  • Preferably, you will have at least 2 years relevant experience working within a large accounting office, preferably within the automotive retail sector
  • Knowledge of the Kerridge/Keyloop dealer management system would be a distinct advantage
