Estimating Manager

Proactive Solutions Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the electrical estimation function and drive growth and brand reputation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the estimation team, allocating workloads, and maintaining committed deadlines. They will also identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for professional development, support the team through effective line management, and drive performance and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the estimation team and allocate workloads to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for professional development within the team.
- Support the team through effective line management, including 1-2-1s and appraisals.
- Drive performance and cost-effectiveness by monitoring KPIs and ensuring effective delivery of core responsibilities.
- Manage internal team processes, including the quotation process and data entry on business systems.
- Prepare basic and detailed tenders, COMA / maintenance contracts, and sales contracts.
- Manage the approval process of quotes up to £200k and decide on the quote / no-quote process.
- Proven track record of building strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.
- Experience in delivering results through strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Establish key aspects associated with client requirements, provide quotations, liaise with internal departments, and submit final project overviews to clients.
- Working knowledge of business systems and ability to follow company processes and maintain data integrity.
- Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points).
- Degree level qualification in a relevant field.
- Strong market knowledge and experience within the electrical distribution sector, both HV and LV.
- Experience of tendering for O&M contracts and private networks.
- Experience of establishing strategic and operational partnerships.
- Wide experience of handling complex and sensitive business / commercial information, both internally and externally, in confidence.
- Demonstrative experience in project management and process improvement.
The Estimating Manager salary is £50-60k + excellent benefits.
