Technical Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Analyst to join our National Data and Analytics (NDA) Data Engineering Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing data to drive business forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management of demands and initiatives
• Provide timely and efficient data integration, including transformation, cleansing and preparation
• Complete Data Engineering end-to-end ownership of demand delivery
• Ensuring demands within area of responsibility are delivered on time to agreed scope
• Providing 2nd or 3rd level technical support

Requirements

• IT background (e.g. development, data analytics, support, governance)
• Experience with data modelling, SQL scripting, Alteryx, Microsoft SSIS and creating and managing ETL processes
• Experience of interpreting business requirements into technical solutions
• Able to interact confidently with technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to interact with the operational business and other departments, translating technical concepts and problems into business language
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a solution-oriented mindset
• An enthusiasm for technology, whilst being customer and business focused
• Logical and efficient work ethics, with a keen attention to detail
• An ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
• An ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks whilst under pressure

• Salary starting £52,985 rising to £61,030
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
