About the Role:

Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated CNC Machining Specialist to join their team. This role involves ensuring exceptional quality standards while meeting production targets and enhancing existing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Setting up tools and loading materials onto CNC machinery.
  • Executing the machining of components with precision.
  • Measuring produced components and utilizing inspection tools to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Interpreting and working from engineering drawings.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvements.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workspace by following established protocols.
  • Handling weights up to 25kg manually.
  • Completing necessary quality documentation.
  • Utilizing computer systems for data management.
  • Applying lean manufacturing principles.
  • Practicing the 5S methodology.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a solid background in an engineering discipline.
  • Has experience in either Milling or Turning operations.
  • Experience with stainless steels and programming using Fanuc/Okuma/Mazak CNC controls is preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC machines and conventional milling equipment.
  • Has a track record of working to tight tolerances.
  • Can read and interpret engineering drawings and quality documentation.
  • Prior experience with machining stainless steels in various forms is advantageous.
