As their clientele continues to grow, they are seeking a skilled and seasoned Senior Tax Manager to enhance their dynamic team.
Job Description:
In the role of Senior Tax Manager, you will play a crucial part within the tax division, overseeing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, which includes owner-managers and high net worth individuals. Your responsibilities will encompass all facets of tax compliance and strategic planning for your clients, ensuring they receive unparalleled service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of personal tax clients, including owner-managers, high net worth individuals, and trusts.
  • Supervise the preparation and submission of Corporation Tax returns, VAT returns, and other annual tax compliance tasks, including P11Ds, employment-related securities returns, EMI returns, and ATED returns.
  • Deliver expert tax planning guidance, identifying avenues for tax efficiencies.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary contact for all tax-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate closely with the tax partner and be an essential member of the tax team.
  • Guide and mentor junior tax team members, acting as a line manager and providing support on their workloads and professional growth.


Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Significant experience in a tax management capacity, preferably within a top 50 accountancy firm or larger independent practice.
  • Strong proficiency in either personal tax or a mixed tax background.
  • CTA and ATT qualifications are preferred but not mandatory, provided relevant experience is demonstrated.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied client portfolio.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance obligations.
  • Capability to provide tax planning advice and pinpoint tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster lasting client relationships.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or mentoring role, with a commitment to developing junior team members.
