About the Role

The Priory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Senior Staff Nurse to join our team. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a defined group of team members, contributing to their professional development and ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver excellent patient care.
  2. Nursing Care Planning: Monitor and review nursing care plans to ensure they are up-to-date and meet the individual needs of patients.
  3. Patient Assessment and Care: Evaluate and respond to changes in patients' condition and needs, providing a high standard of care to individuals with mental illness and personality disorder.
  4. Therapeutic Relationships: Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients to optimize engagement and promote positive outcomes.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Contribute to patient assessments, compile care plans, and monitor patient progress in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  6. Leadership and Mentorship: Lead shifts, mentor and support student nurses, and contribute to the development of the nursing team.
  7. Professional Accountability: Adhere to codes of conduct, standards, and legislation, promoting ethical practice and respecting the rights of others.
