We are seeking an experienced Tekla Draughtsman to join our team at The Solution Group Ltd. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in structural and architectural steel, looking to further develop their career in a dynamic and growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and produce detailed technical drawings and schematics for structural and architectural steel projects using Tekla, 2D and 3D software.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret project specifications and develop accurate and compliant designs.
  • Review and modify existing drawings to meet project requirements and ensure adherence to UK building standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits as required to gather data and ensure drawings are aligned with onsite conditions and specifications.
  • Maintain and update all technical documentation, ensuring records are kept up-to-date and accurate.
  • Work with the fabrication team to ensure designs are feasible and efficient for production.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Draughtsman in structural and architectural steel projects within the UK.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of UK building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to structural and architectural steel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret and produce complex technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
