About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our client's chemical manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Specification and Repair: Develop detailed technical specifications for plant instrument equipment and repairs, ensuring that all work is planned, approved, and completed to the required standard.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to the plant team and take an active role in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
  • Reliability Improvement: Identify and implement improvement opportunities to achieve the current and future capacity, variable costs, and product quality.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Provide technical input to safety reviews, safety committees, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Plant Modifications and Assessments: Ensure thorough I&E engineering assessment of plant modifications to mitigate engineering risks.
Candidate Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Hold a minimum HND in Instrumentation Engineering and have substantial experience working in a 24/7 industrial environment.
  • Professional Qualifications: Be a member of a professional body with or working towards Incorporated Engineer status.
  • Industry Knowledge: Have knowledge of functional safety and experience of working with IEC 61508 and 61511 standards.
  • Technical Skills: Have knowledge of MOD300 and Delta V DCS Systems.
