Our client, a leading entity in the field of biotechnology and environmental monitoring, is expanding rapidly due to recent acquisitions. This is an opportunity to become a part of a vibrant team as a Technical Sales Consultant, focusing on the promotion of advanced environmental solutions throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire UK market, primarily engaging with inbound leads.
  • Participate in customer education initiatives, which include conducting seminars, webinars, and presenting at industry conferences.
  • Provide strategic insights to the R&D team to aid in product development through customer feedback.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through on-site visits across the UK, with occasional travel to Europe and the US.
  • Enhance technical knowledge through comprehensive training on a variety of sophisticated environmental monitoring instruments, such as quantum sensors, gas analyzers, soil sampling devices, and environmental monitoring drones.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Plant Physiology, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A solid background in environmental science, biotechnology, or medical devices, with practical experience. Technical sales experience is advantageous.
  • Skills: Expertise in technical presentations, familiarity with sales software (e.g., Salesforce), and a comprehensive understanding of laboratory procedures relevant to plant physiology and environmental physics. Experience with photosynthesis instrumentation is preferred.
  • Attributes: Exceptional communication skills, highly organized, self-driven, innovative problem-solver, and a collaborative team player with a positive outlook.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 60% within the designated territory.
  • Other Requirements: A valid driver's license and the capability to effectively manage time and territory activities.
