Senior Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a school in Dorset. As a key member of the education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional learning needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement engaging learning activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to inform teaching practices.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare are maintained at all times.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or 4 and above).
  • Previous experience working with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience managing challenging behaviors and promoting an inclusive learning environment.
