Job Summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to ensure safe plant operations and a safe working environment.
  • Record all breakdowns and service work accurately, maintaining detailed information for each machine and service sheet.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to resolve problems and maintain a proactive approach.
  • Conduct planned maintenance as directed by the Engineering Manager and Shift Leader.
  • Support the continuous improvement of departmental operations and functions.
  • Adhere to food hygiene standards.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • Book out parts from engineering stores according to procedures.
  • Understand engineering and operational KPIs and suggest improvements to Shift Leaders.
  • Follow company policies and best practices consistently.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards under the clean-as-you-go policy for your area and across the site.
Requirements
  • Experience of electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Understanding of the FMCG industry.
  • Understanding of retailer products and quality standards (desirable).
  • Experience of successfully managing tasks and projects to completion.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Reliable, conscientious, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Effective planning and organization skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and non-verbal).
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to influence solutions.
