## Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Underwriter to join our team at Allied World. As a Senior Financial Underwriter, you will be responsible for performing extensive account analysis according to underwriting guidelines, including thorough review of underwriting applications, internet research, and reviewing requested terms and conditions.

## Key Responsibilities

* Perform account analysis and review underwriting applications to ensure compliance with guidelines
* Conduct internet research to gather information on risk exposures and market trends
* Review requested terms and conditions, including underlying policy forms, to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Liaise with actuarial support to develop premium benchmarking and pricing models
* Collaborate with Claims Department to identify potential claim concerns and develop strategies to mitigate risk
* Supervise and delegate work to Assistant Underwriters as needed

## Requirements

* Graduate-level degree in a relevant field
* Professional insurance qualification
* 5+ years of experience underwriting blue-chip accounts and clients
* Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of pricing and actuarial models
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
