About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Co-Founder in Residence, focusing on enabling CO2 capture processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our team at Deep Science Ventures and contribute to the development of innovative climate technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the development of CO2 capture processes and technologies
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and address key challenges in the field of CO2 capture
  • Work closely with our Founder in Residence to co-found and spin-out a new company focused on CO2 capture
  • Develop and implement strategies for scaling CO2 capture technologies
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the climate technology sector
Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent industry R&D experience in mechanical or chemical engineering, with a focus on thermodynamics and fluid dynamics
  • In-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies and constraints in CO2 capture processes, cooling and heating systems, or polymer science
  • Broad knowledge of climate technologies and processes
  • Industry-specific know-how, commercial knowledge, and network within the climate technology sector
  • Experience in building and scaling new technologies from concept to demonstration
  • Experience in raising funds from early stage investors/VC
  • Experience in building and scaling a high-growth enterprise (leadership/c-suite roles)
