We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Design Engineer to join our team at McLaren Applied. As an Associate Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of world-class products and solutions that harness our expertise in telemetry, control, and analytics, as well as electrification.
As a member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will work closely with our engineers and technicians to deliver complete design solutions, including Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and simulation, prototyping PCB systems, and analysis of PCB layouts.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop PCBs to deliver product performance goals.
- Design and develop prototype PCB systems to verify those performance goals.
- Integrate PCB systems with the product under test.
- Analyze PCB test performance statistics.
- Design and develop Motorsport PCB hardware, capturing the PCB design, prototyping, and helping with hardware bring-up, working alongside your Hardware and Embedded Software colleagues.
- A First-class degree or upper 2nd in Electronic, Electrical, Physics, Computer Science, or a similar technical field of study.
- A good understanding of embedded electronics.
- Experience developing in an eCAD environment, ideally Cadence.
- Good understanding of statistics.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and individually.
- Enjoy collaborating with others, across disciplines, to produce elegant, far-sighted solutions.
- High attention to detail and great analytical skills.
