About the Role: Carrington West is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in consultancy to join our dynamic infrastructure team. This role is essential in managing our increasing project demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in both highway and drainage design projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to execute tasks independently or alongside junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Participate actively in project management and proposals, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and the design team.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a UK consultancy environment, focusing on highway and drainage design.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site3D, and Infodrainage.
  • Strong understanding of relevant design standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities to manage a diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Professional communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in civil engineering design, including preliminary and detailed designs.

Project Experience:

  • Experience with Section 278 / 38 Highway Designs.
  • Knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments and Sustainable Urban Drainage Strategies.
  • Expertise in Foul and Storm Water Drainage and Highways Drainage.
