Butler Rose is seeking an experienced and qualified ACCA / ACA accountant to join our team as a key member of our accountancy practice.

This role will involve managing a diverse portfolio of high-value clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Responsibilities will include preparing year-end and management accounts, as well as personal and corporation tax returns. Additionally, you will oversee two Accounts Assistants and contribute to the growth and development of our accountancy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value clients, providing expert accountancy services and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Prepare year-end and management accounts, as well as personal and corporation tax returns, to the highest standard.
  • Oversee the work of two Accounts Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of our accountancy services, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives and drive success.

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will be part-ACCA / ACA qualified, with a minimum of 3+ years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience preparing year-end and management accounts, VAT, and corporation tax.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
