Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of three within the Finance department, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes.
  • Prepare and manage month and year-end Profit and Loss accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage the company's ongoing monthly and annual cash flow, producing budgets and forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee the recording, execution, and monitoring of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor all accounts, processing invoices for purchases and sales, and preparing financial statements to provide stakeholders with a clear picture of the company's financial performance.
  • Process quarterly VAT returns, ensuring timely submission and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of company assets.
  • Prepare and present monthly Management Accounts, providing insights into the company's financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supervise the preparation of monthly payments to creditors, ensuring timely payment and compliance with company policies.
  • Lead the month-end procedures, including prepayments and accruals, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly payroll and commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with Directors and External Accountants, providing financial insights and supporting business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to stakeholders.
  • Task-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in staff management, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
