Production Technician

Oxford Instruments seeks a skilled Production Technician to contribute to the assembly of cutting-edge technological systems.
As part of our dynamic Production team, you will play a vital role in building high-tech systems and complex configurations, continuously expanding your technical expertise.
Your Responsibilities:
- Construct systems, sub-assemblies, and individual components with precision, adhering to quality standards and project timelines.
- Ensure meticulous adherence to Bill of Materials (BOM) specifications and customer requirements.
- Proactively identify and resolve any build challenges that arise.
- Utilize the FRACAS process to effectively report technical issues.
- Maintain a high level of technical proficiency through ongoing training and development.
- Provide guidance to technicians and foster a culture of awareness within the build area.
- Champion cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Contribute to team success through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adapt to a rotating shift pattern as directed by the Team Leader.
About You:
- Possess a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
- Demonstrate expertise in precision fitting techniques, including machining and pipe bending.
- Exhibit proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and fault-finding.
- Prior experience within the semiconductor industry is highly advantageous.
- Display strong computer skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
- Maintain rigorous standards of build quality and possess excellent communication abilities.
