Field Service Maintenance Technician – Facilities Management Provider

Location: Exeter

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits Package

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Field Service Maintenance Technician to perform both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across various commercial properties in the Exeter region.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Facilities Management and demonstrate a successful history in maintaining commercial properties.

This role is particularly suited for a technician currently engaged in a similar capacity.

Compensation and Benefits:

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform lighting tasks including minor installations, troubleshooting, and lamp replacement
  • Conduct emergency lighting inspections
  • Manage control panels and replace ballasts
  • Monitor BMS systems for temperature regulation
  • Execute all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Keep maintenance logs updated
  • Handle plumbing issues such as unblocking toilets
  • Service pumps and motors
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate records
  • Utilize CAFM systems for task management
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and professionally
  • Identify and report equipment faults proactively
  • Communicate effectively with client personnel regarding service levels
  • Report significant service issues to management
  • Remain adaptable to various site tasks within your skill set
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and regulations
  • Supervise specialist subcontractors as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial property maintenance
  • Multi-skilled with strong communication abilities
  • Client-facing experience
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Prior experience in a Building Services Engineer role
  • Ability to work independently with high-quality standards
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering
