As a CCTV Security Operations Controller, you will be engaged in a structured shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off, alternating with 4 nights on and 4 nights off, totaling 42 hours per week in a permanent, full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Begin your shift punctually in full uniform, ensuring readiness for duties.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Effectively communicate the shift changeover to the incoming supervisor, including the transfer of keys, equipment, and essential information regarding staff and site conditions.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, adhering to established procedures as outlined in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of fire alarm protocols.
  • Familiarize yourself with the layout of all critical areas, including plant rooms and service corridors.
  • Serve as the primary radio contact for all personnel and tenants on site.
  • Oversee control room operations consistently, especially during incidents.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of security logs, incident reports, and communications.
  • Provide assistance to tenants during incidents, whether in person or via surveillance.
  • Support law enforcement presence on site as needed.
  • Recognize your responsibilities and authority as a security team member, knowing when to defer to police directives.
  • Manage and de-escalate incidents occurring within the premises.
  • Provide first aid assistance if certified to do so.
  • Conduct control room duties, including responding to inquiries, monitoring surveillance feeds, and managing contractor access.
  • Utilize patrol monitoring systems to enhance incident management.
  • Understand in-house radio communication protocols.
  • On night shifts, ensure regular check-ins as required.
  • Execute all tasks safely and thoroughly, in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client and staff information.
  • Report any maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Keep your workspace organized and equipment securely stored.
  • Be knowledgeable about the care standards relevant to your role.
  • Foster respectful communication with colleagues, tenants, and visitors.
  • Be open to ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Follow managerial instructions diligently.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • SIA CCTV license is mandatory (Security Guarding where applicable).
  • Proven experience in building relationships with clients.
  • IOSH training is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate effectively.
  • Highly organized with a track record of managing workflows.
  • Understanding of high-quality service delivery and its significance.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet role demands.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
