Our pioneering technology, integrated into The Atom – a smart, site-safe headset – is complemented by our consultancy services for Data Centre and Mission Critical projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completions.
In recent years, XYZ has expanded to over 120 professionals across the UK, Europe, and the US, collaborating with leading Data Centre and construction firms to deliver significant projects worldwide.
Field Application Engineer (Survey Engineer) Role
As a Survey Specialist at XYZ, you will leverage the Atom to identify and rectify construction and design discrepancies on-site, preventing costly rework. You will visualize design models in holographic form through the headset and provide ongoing updates regarding potential conflicts or errors in installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting daily site evaluations using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to verify that installations are executed correctly and in accordance with the BIM Model.
- Utilizing a total station to establish and maintain a control network.
- Generating reports based on daily inspections.
- Participating in meetings to coordinate with contractors for daily operational planning.
- Processing and validating all collected data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
- Reporting to the Senior FAE / FAE Manager, ensuring an efficient workflow and timely completion of all requested inspections.
- Collaborating with contractors to create a weekly inspection schedule aligned with the master construction timeline to mitigate installation errors.
- Acquiring and preparing the latest approved Revit models for export into HoloSite.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree, or a minimum of 1 year of experience in land surveying, construction surveying, or geospatial engineering.
- A strong work ethic, ambition, and enthusiasm for new technologies.
- Experience operating a Total Station is preferred.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Familiarity with 3D software (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) or BIM/BIM360 is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Essential: Must possess the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
