We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and management in Trauma and Orthopaedics
  • Conduct surgical procedures and manage complex cases
  • Participate in clinical governance and audit activities
  • Contribute to teaching and training of junior doctors and medical students
  • Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
  • FRCS Tr and Orth qualification
  • Valid Certified Basic Life Support Skills
  • Experience in lower limb arthroplasty surgery
  • Knowledge of UK hospital systems and clinical governance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
  • Appropriate higher degree (e.g. MD, PhD or MSc)
  • On Specialist Register with GMC or CCT due within 6 months of interview date
  • Experience of NHS and subspecialty service
  • Additional clinical qualification(s)
