Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at our Taste & Nutrition Manufacturing facility in Runcorn. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance of assets to maximize plant availability and maintain production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks to acceptable levels
  • Lock off dangerous machinery and repair as necessary
  • Resolve breakdowns, complete PMs, and work on project/improvement works to minimize production downtime
  • Complete PM sheets with observations, jobs completed, and recommendations, and file with the Maintenance Planner
  • Actively gather information from production personnel to speed up fault-finding
  • Ensure engineering logs and computer systems are up-to-date with relevant information
Requirements:
  • Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred)
  • Expertise in fault finding within electrical systems, including weighing systems
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Flexible and positive 'can-do' attitude
