A progressive accountancy firm is seeking a Senior Personal Tax Consultant to join their dynamic private client accounts team.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to manage a small portfolio of tax clients with the aim of expanding it. You will engage with local contacts and develop your own network to attract new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse client portfolio effectively.
- Plan, supervise, and review tax assignments.
- Conduct research and report on technical tax issues.
- Collaborate with directors and external advisors to resolve complex technical matters.
- Participate in client meetings to discuss tax strategies.
- Ensure all assignments are completed within budget and deadlines.
- Identify and promote additional value-added services.
- Lead the firm's Inheritance Tax planning initiatives.
- Assist in the overall efficiency of the team and firm.
- Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients.
- Keep clients and the team informed about changes in tax legislation.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge in personal tax.
- Proficient in relevant software including CCH personal tax and trust tax.
- Experience in staff and practice development.
- CTA qualified or currently studying for CTA.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary, typically ranging from £50,000 to £60,000, based on experience. The role includes:
- Up to three days of remote work per week after probation.
- 23 days of annual leave, excluding bank holidays.
- Statutory sick pay eligibility.
- Enhanced sick pay after one year of service.
- Pension scheme upon completion of probation.
- Health plan and life assurance benefits.
- Support for continuing professional development.
