Major Recruitment is seeking a Goods Inwards Inspector for our esteemed client located in the Newton Aycliffe area.

This role is a Full-time Permanent position, offering 39 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.

Compensation ranges from £24,000 to £30,000, depending on experience.


Position Overview:

The primary responsibility is to ensure that all incoming goods and materials adhere to the necessary quality standards and specifications.

This includes inspecting, testing, and documenting to confirm compliance, while ensuring that any non-conforming products are not dispatched until issues are resolved.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee timely processing of all items.
  • Perform documentation checks in line with established procedures.
  • Identify and record any non-conformities, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address issues and maintain precise records.
  • Follow company protocols and health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in the goods inward area.
  • Provide support to the Goods In Team as required.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Certification or training in quality control or inspection techniques.
  • Qualification at an A level standard or higher.
Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or discrepancies.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Computer literacy for data entry and documentation.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO standards is desirable.
  • Experience in maintaining ERP systems.
