Position Overview

As a Wellbeing Recovery Worker, you will play a crucial role in transforming lives by creating personalized, adaptable, and achievable support plans tailored to their unique needs.

This position is situated within a correctional facility, where we implement a comprehensive model of psycho-social and clinical assistance, designed to address complex individual requirements through evidence-based practices.

We offer a competitive starting salary of £26,324 plus £3,633 Inner London Weighting, with annual increments aligned with our structured pay progression system, potentially reaching £30,794 per annum plus £3,633 Inner London Weighting. Depending on your experience, a higher starting salary may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

As a Wellbeing Recovery Worker, you will contribute to delivering a high-quality, individualized service. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with service users to design realistic and flexible support packages, engaging in partnerships with external organizations, and working alongside community teams. Specific duties will encompass:

  • Providing guidance, information, and referrals to service users.
  • Facilitating group sessions and educating on harm reduction strategies.
  • Conducting one-on-one recovery planning sessions.
  • Performing risk assessments and ensuring timely, accurate reporting and record-keeping.


Ideal Candidate Profile

Successful candidates will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, along with experience managing a caseload of individuals with complex needs. A proven history of effectively handling incidents involving verbal and physical aggression is essential. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts on a rotational basis. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must obtain full clearance for working in a correctional environment.
