Our Mechanical Solutions Team is actively looking for an Automotive Service Technician. In this role, you will engage with a variety of vehicles from some of the most esteemed insurance, fleet, and leasing organizations in the UK. We are in search of a technician with a strong understanding of engines to perform replacements and repairs on significant mechanical components to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team of specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Workshop Manager to address any issues or inquiries that arise while servicing client vehicles.
- Utilizing diagnostic software alongside visible and manual inspections to identify faults.
- Selecting the appropriate components for vehicles as necessary.
- Referencing manufacturer specifications for component levels and torque settings when required.
- Installing new and refurbished units as well as other worn-out parts as needed.
- Conducting road tests and final inspections before confirming repairs are complete.
- Ensuring the safety check documentation is accurately completed before and during vehicle servicing.
- Adhering to work and safety protocols diligently.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience working under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems.
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Basic qualifications in English and Mathematics.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organizational and workload management skills.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
- Awareness of Health & Safety regulations.
