**Job Title:** Experienced Tutor/Assessor for Early Years Sector
**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced and qualified Tutor/Assessor to join our team at Kids Planet Day Nurseries Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Apprenticeship standards up to level 5, including Functional Skills up to level 2, and CPD training primarily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and support learners across early years employers working towards Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare up to level 3 (and ideally Level 5).
- Deliver face-to-face, online group, and 1:1 tutorials at selected settings.
- Observe learners in their setting to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship.
- Plan and implement initial assessments and course reviews with learners.
- Create learner portfolios on one file to agreed standards.
- Deliver and assess pertinent functional skills.
- Design and deliver CPD courses to internal staff.
- Close liaison with nursery managers/mentors to maximise efficient collection of evidence.
- Manage your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise, and motivate learners.
Requirements:
- A recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA, or CAVA.
- A recognised teaching qualification: e.g. Level 3/4 Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent (desirable).
- Minimum Level 3 in Childcare.
- Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare levels 2/3 and ideally level 5.
- Experience of delivering Functional Skills (Maths/English/ICT) up to level 2.
- Solid occupational competency within Early Years.
- A full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
