Senior Principal Designer Opportunity at Brandon James Ltd

Brandon James Ltd, a reputable multi-disciplinary consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Designer to join their Birmingham team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and managing design risks for a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and compliance of CDM regulations across multiple projects.
  • Provide expert advice on safety regulations and design risk management.
  • Oversee the development of pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
  • Conduct health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Facilitate design review meetings and workshops to ensure risk management is prioritised.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure effective communication of health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and design risk management.
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in a senior role.
