About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our dynamic Merchandising team at Sainsbury's. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of customer-focused product ranges to achieve sales, profit, margin, and stock targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review weekly trading performance to identify opportunities and issues, and provide relevant analysis.
  • Own and manage category and SKU level forecasts to optimise sales, stock holding, margin, and availability.
  • Collaborate with the A&R replenishment assistant to plan initial allocations and launch builds to meet stock and availability targets.
  • Drive efficiency and maximise availability using merchandising systems.
  • Manage order management processes and maintain high levels of data integrity.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandise Admin position, or a relevant field graduate.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach, willingness to learn new systems, and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
