The Mermaid is a thriving community pub located in the heart of Guisborough, a bustling market town in North Yorkshire. As a Pub Operator with Craft Union Pub Company, you will have the opportunity to run your own pub, with a built-in support crew to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sports and entertainment events to attract a loyal customer base
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase footfall and sales
  • Manage a team of staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Work closely with the Regional Manager to achieve business targets and improve profitability
What We Offer
  • Boosted Operator Earnings of 20% of net revenue: £72,800 – and that's just the baseline
  • Supercharge Your Income: Take home an additional 10% of sales above budget when you manage a high-volume pub

  • Dedicated Support of a Regional Manager: Get ongoing guidance and support to develop your pub's proposition and build strong community engagement, leading to boosted sales opportunities.
About You

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Pub Operator who is passionate about sports and entertainment. You will have a friendly nature, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will be comfortable working in a community-focused pub and have a deep understanding of the local market.

The private accommodation consists of 3 large bedrooms with roof terrace. Parking is available around the back with their own 2x private parking spaces.

Regional manager Jason says: The Mermaid has huge potential to drive sports even further and make it the number one pub in the area for sports. Daily & weekly events are key to this site to ensure it has great day trade. I'm looking for a new operator who will bring friendly energy to the site and focus on driving daytime events.
