Senior Accounts Assistant

A dynamic and growing SME in the Camberley area is seeking a highly motivated and efficient Senior Accounts Assistant to join their small, friendly finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the department by ensuring the smooth operation of both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, as well as assisting with financial reporting and analysis, and preparation of budgets and forecasts.

For the right individual, there is a clear path for career progression, as the company will support your professional development with training and mentoring, which may even include a study support package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate data entry for accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Credit control and management.
  • Assist in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Handle queries related to invoices and payments, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and provide financial insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable roles.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, including intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to assist with whatever is required.
  • Degree in accountancy and finance, and/or AAT qualification (desirable).
