Shift Pattern:

Monday to Thursday – Friday – x2 Monday to Thursday Friday –

As part of our commitment to enhancing work-life balance, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without any alteration in remuneration. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time employees. Please be aware that while this change is forthcoming, certain service areas may require temporary adjustments, necessitating up to an additional 30 minutes of work per week until new rosters are established.

Role Overview:

In this position, you will be an integral member of the Catering Team, contributing to various facets of food preparation, service, and sanitation duties associated with catering operations for patients, staff, visitors, and special events.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Execute all cleaning tasks within the production kitchen, adhering to established work schedules.
  • Perform cleaning and washing of all equipment, machinery, and crockery related to catering services.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of food services.
  • Manage the receipt and proper storage of supplies.
  • Oversee the removal and disposal of waste materials.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Uphold high standards of personal hygiene and food safety.
  • Provide dining room service to patients, staff, visitors, and during functions.
  • Handle cash transactions responsibly.
  • Utilize equipment strictly as per instructions.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, considering the safety of colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and divisional procedures.

Salary: The salary is calculated on a pro-rata basis for part-time hours.
