Job Title: Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at DPDgroup. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in the accounting, analysis, and administration of our network of depots and owner driver department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager on specific projects to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage weekly financial performance, including revenue analysis, monthly and year-end reporting, and consolidating information into concise reports.
  • Prepare and present annual plans to the Senior Management team, highlighting key financial insights and recommendations.
  • Compile monthly balance sheets and identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance business efficiency.
  • Review and redesign existing processes to facilitate informed decision-making and drive business success.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence in all aspects of the role.

Requirements:

  • A commercially astute and fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 12 months of post-qualification experience.
  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree in any discipline and Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Proven experience in a senior management accountant or equivalent role, with the ability to present clear and simple results.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze numerical data, verbal data, and other sources of information quickly and effectively.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a good knowledge of reporting tools.
  • First-rate communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate the core DPDgroup DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work, and Accountability.
