Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our High Pressure operations team in our facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for production layout, new manufacturing equipment, improved production processes, and supporting day-to-day manufacturing engineering requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation of Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
- Specification and procurement of new production tooling and equipment
- Design and implementation of new or modified production layouts
- Introduction of new technologies and processes
- Introduction and facilitation of productivity improvements
- Leading and contributing to specific manufacturing engineering projects as they occur
Requirements
- HNC / HND qualified in mechanical / manufacturing / electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- Completion of, or studying for, a mechanical / manufacturing Engineering degree
Travel and Work Arrangements
Fully site-based with occasional travel to equipment suppliers
- Experience of working with assembly processes
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
- Experience/knowledge of 2D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Ability to drive improvement and change
- Experience/knowledge of production control systems
- Experience/knowledge of writing Standard Operating Procedures, control plans, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
