Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Senior Safety Consultant to join our client's team. This role involves overseeing various projects, and prior experience in managing multiple sites will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular site evaluations and engagement visits to assess the effectiveness of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Management Systems, ensuring timely completion of corrective actions.
2. Provide guidance on the creation of essential documentation and assist operational teams in implementing SHEQ Management Systems, policies, and procedures to enhance safety awareness and operational capability.
3. Manage incidents and near misses effectively, ensuring they are reported, investigated, and subjected to thorough root cause analysis, while supporting teams in applying lessons learned.
4. Prepare and distribute SHEQ Alerts, Bulletins, and other communication initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- NEBOSH General and/or NEBOSH Construction or equivalent Health and Safety Qualification, with a minimum of Tech IOSH membership.
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Consultant within the demolition sector, with a strong understanding of construction and demolition practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in demolition, including detailed expertise in CDM.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, alongside strong written and verbal communication abilities.
