Position Overview

Castleton Commodities International is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing and maintaining our data management and analytics platform, collaborating closely with Risk and Commercial Investing teams across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data architectures to support business needs.
  • Lead the development and execution of data ingestion processes, ensuring efficient and reliable data flow.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Leverage your expertise in machine learning to analyze datasets and generate actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL programming, with a proven ability to write optimized queries.
  • Experience working within the energy commodities or financial services industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • A passion for machine learning and artificial intelligence, with a desire to apply these technologies to real-world problems.
