Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Science Professional to join our team at Luton Town Football Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Academy's Sports Science plan, working closely with the Head of Academy Sport Science to deliver high-quality support to our players.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Academy's Sports Science plan, aligning with the Club's overall strategy for developing elite players.
  • Provide sport science support to U9-14 players on training days, including strength and conditioning, diet and nutrition, and sports science services.
  • Support the rehabilitation process for U9-14 players, working closely with medical staff and coaching staff to ensure a smooth recovery.
  • Assist with sport science support for U15-16 players, including monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with EPPP guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of sport science programs for all age groups in the Academy, working closely with the Head of Academy Sport Science to ensure effective testing and monitoring.
  • Implement effective testing in areas such as age-appropriate physical screening, anthropometric assessments, physiological/fitness testing, movement and posture/functioning screening, and predictive testing of size and shape/maturation measurement.
Requirements
  • BSc in Sports Science or sub-discipline.
  • Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS check.
  • FA Emergency First Aid in Football.
  • MSc in a related discipline (desirable).
  • BASES / UKSCA Accreditation or working towards (desirable).
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent IT skills and experience in use of all Microsoft Office products.
  • Committed and driven by deadlines and results.
  • Ability to turn ideas into deliverables with minimal supervision.
