About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Brake Press Operator to join our team at Gap Technical Ltd, a leading agricultural manufacturing company based in the UK. As a CNC Brake Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality metal parts using a computer numeric controlled (CNC) brake press.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a CNC brake press to produce precision metal parts, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Read and understand detailed blueprints to form finished products, utilizing your knowledge of metal fabrication techniques.
  • Set up and maintain the machines, making adjustments to control speed, material feed, and path of the shape or bend.
  • Perform periodic quality inspection checks on product output, visually inspecting finished products to ensure defect-free quality.
  • Ensure machines are working at full capacity, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary materials.
  • Use a CNC controller to input information into the machine, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Calibrate and clean the machine to maintain optimal performance.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in CNC Brake Press operation.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on metal fabrication.
  • Knowledge of different types of metals, particularly steel.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
