Category Director

The Client Our client is a leading Branded and Own Label UK Food Businesses and are in high growth across the Categories they serve.
Their Brands are either No. 2 across the Grocery Channel and they have plans to bring New Brands to the market. This is then combined with a NPD driven own label offering and overall Category Led commercial strategy.
As the Category Manager you will be tasked with leading a several Grocery Customers within the overall group.
Working cross functionally both internally and externally you will drive a strong growth agenda within your business unit that will play a significant part in maximising EBIT performance of the UK business as whole.
You will assist in forming short-term goals- 12-18th Months, whilst long-term goals will be devised some 3 years into the future, hence the intellectual stretch you will experience will be unparalleled in your career to date.
Working at close quarters with the UK Head of Category and Sales Director, you will assist them in forming the "Commercial & Category Compass" for the business to set its course.
This role will be your building block to a 2-3 step career development curve with the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading FMCG Businesses (Either Own Branded or Own Label)
- Assisting in forming short-term and long-term goals
- Working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Driving a strong growth agenda within the business unit
- Maximising EBIT performance of the UK business
Requirements:
- A real "can do" mentality
- A creative flair for solution focused thinking
- Ability to work in an International corporate framework
